Welcome to Art Club!

How it all began:

 

Our story began back in 2019 when my eldest son was in Year 3 at Ocklynge. He was a quiet, gentle soul who loved nothing more than disappearing into his own world of drawing and creating (and reading). Watching him felt like looking in a mirror—he was exactly like the introverted kid I used to be (without the reading)!

 

Growing up, my absolute favourite escape was a children's art class where there were no strict expectations. It was a magical place where I could just 'play' with art and truly be myself. I wanted to create a similar safe haven for my son and other children.

 

A few years later, my second son joined the crew, and boy, did he teach me a lot! He is a bundle of energy who finds it tricky to sit still, but he shares that same deep love for making things. Having both of my boys in the club showed me just how powerful art can be for every kind of personality.

 

What is Art Club all about?

Designed specifically for children aged 6 to 11, our club is a vibrant, hands-on escape where imagination takes over.

 

• Creative Freedom & Development: It is a creative space to explore and experiment with awesome wide variety of materials.

• No Pressure & Zero Judgement: Children go completely at their own pace with absolutely no 'right' or 'wrong'—there is only having FUN exploring the creative process.

• Building Confidence: Every session builds on the last, teaching kids to navigate 'rules' (and happily bend them!) as they try new things and grow.

• Broad Horizons: Every term we introduce fresh themes and materials to expand their world—some weeks using templates, and other weeks just throwing down paper, paint, and a big sheet of ideas!
   

Whether your child is a quiet dreamer or a high-energy creator, there is a seat at our table for them to get messy, get curious, and enjoy the joy of creating.
